How to Edit Shots in a Storyboard
- Updated on February 2025
Navigating and Editing Shots
- Navigate to the Storyboard tab and switch to List view.
Editing Scene/Shot Titles and Descriptions
- To edit a scene or shot title and description, click directly on the title or description and make the changes.
- Click the checkmark to save.
Modifying Shot Details
- To modify other shot details, click the edit icon on the right side of the row.
- If you’re in vignette view, click on the edit icon or image placeholder.
- You’ll be redirected to the frame view for that shot.
- In the Details tab, you can edit all the fields.
Editing Prompts for AI Imagery
- By default, the main action prompt mirrors the Description, but you can modify it to better guide AI-generated imagery.
- Keep the prompt specific and concise.
- Importantly, avoid using ambiguous terms like “girl” or “boy” in your prompts especially in contexts that could be considered suggestive. Instead, use specific and appropriate descriptors that align with the intended image output.
Setting Locations
- To set a location for the shot, select from the drop-down list.
- If no options are available, create locations first in the Locations section.
- Note that you need to set the location for every shot, as the AI cannot reference locations from previous shots.
Configuring Shot Settings
- You may also configure the Shot Settings tab, which is particularly useful for film production.
- Select options from the drop-down menus and enter additional details as needed.
- Click Save to apply the changes
Managing Shots
- Once finished with one shot, move on to the next.
- Shots are grouped by scenes in the navigator.
- You can also add new shots within the same scene or use the Shot Overview for easy navigation between shots.
- To delete a shot, click the trash bin icon at the top right-corner. Confirm the action when prompted.
- You’ll be redirected back to the Storyboard tab.
